I’m Amb. Chibuzo Sunday Okereke, MNIIA, MFPS
A Legislative/Policy Expert
Amb. Chibuzo S. Okereke, MNIIA, MFPS, a Legislative and policy Expert who combines scholarship with advocacy in designing and applying a strategy for the promotion of democratic governance and active citizenship experience in Nigeria.
He is currently a Doctorate Candidate for Public Policy at Veritas University, Abuja. He holds a Master of Science degree with Distinction Honours in Legislative and Democratic Studies, from the University of Benin/NILDS, and a Master’s Degree in Political Science & Public Administration, equally with Distinction Honours from Baze University, Abuja.
Mr Okereke is also a proud Alumnus of the prestigious University of Nigeria (UNN) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with honours, majoring in Public Sector Audit and Investigation, and rose to serve with grace and honour as the Golden Jubilee Student Union President of the institution.
To contribute to social re-engineering for transformational leadership outcomes in Nigeria, he founded several initiatives including, Erudite Growth and Advancement Foundation(ErGAF-AFRICA), Project Hope Alive Africa, National Political Equity Movement(N-PEM, Nigeria) and Co-Convenes the National Legislative Conference, Nigeria.
As a leader with great enthusiasm for knowledge and scholarship, Mr Chibuzo Okereke has numerous Executive Course certifications and Memberships including, Graduate and Member, Foreign Policy & Diplomacy School, Member, Nigeria Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Member Nigeria Institute of Management(NIM), Alumni, Public Policy Track, Young African leaders, and Center LSD School of Leadership, among others.
Amb. Chibuzo Sunday Okereke is committed to advocacy and promotion of standard policies
As a Legislative Practitioner, he is a Member of the Association of Legislative Drafting and Advocacy Practitioners (ALDRAP) and has served in various roles in the National Assembly of Nigeria, deploying his rich scholarly skills and competencies to provide technical and professional support for lawmaking, oversight and representation functions for legislators and legislative committees. As part of his interests in quality legislative development in Nigeria, Mr Okereke, Coordinates and serves as Desk Officer in the Secretariat of the International Parliamentary Network on World Bank and International Monetary Fund, Nigeria Parliamentary Israel Allies Caucus and Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA).
He also implements consultancy services for strategy design, institutional building, community organizing and advocacy campaigns, training, empowerment and capacity building, as well as, research and teaching and also serves as a resource to some organizations and institutions and as Public Affairs/Policy Analyst on major National Televisions.
Through his Project Hope Alive Initiative, over 2,000 school children have been impacted with educational support materials and interventions.
In 2018, Mr Okereke was honoured with the 8th President of Senate Endowment Award as the Best Graduating Student in Legislative Studies.
